Dr. Beth Rendon, DSW, LCSW
Dr. Beth Rendon is a seasoned social worker with over two decades of experience in improving lives through mental health advocacy and innovative care. She earned her Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2020, building on her strong academic foundation with a Master’s in Social Work and a Bachelor’s in Psychology.

As the founder and lead clinician of Silver Lining Therapeutic Services, Dr. Beth is known for her compassionate, client-centered approach and her relentless drive to expand access to quality mental health care. Her areas of passion include mental health equity, streamlined access to services, self-care, advocacy, and prison reform.
Dr. Beth is also the visionary behind “Mental Health First”, a groundbreaking initiative designed to close the gap between schools and community-based mental health services. This early-intervention system identifies youth in need and connects them to timely, effective treatment. She believes that true progress for young people happens when schools, mental health professionals, and families collaborate as equal partners.

Christina Martorano, LCSW
Christina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois. She holds a Bachelors in Social Work degree from Illinois State University and a Masters in Social Work degree from Loyola University Chicago.
Christina has worked and trained in a variety of settings, including with children, teenagers, adults and families. Christina has spent 10 years helping students and their parents navigate the educational environment and its impact on students' mental health.
Christina has a passion to help individuals become aware of their emotions and behaviors and help them to better manage anxiety and/or depressive symptoms. Christina focuses on teaching skills to effectively deal with life and regulating emotions. Her approach to therapy includes a safe, strength-based, therapeutic place for children and adults to work through their feelings, problems, and life struggles. She believes in meeting the client where they are and making small, manageable changes.

Gabrielle Smith, PEL, LBS1, MSW Intern
Gabrielle graduated with Honors from Roosevelt University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education with a Type 10 Special Education Certificate and a Learning Behavior Specialist Endorsement. Her PEL allows her to teach K-21 special education students. She is currently attending Aurora University to obtain her MSW.
Gabrielle has experience in many different areas including teaching, behavior coaching, providing staff training, teacher mentoring, behavior program development, parent relationship building, and teaching in residential facilities. She has worked in education for over 10 years. She has experience working with adults, couples, and supporting parents with the difficulties of parenting.
Her unique background allows her to understand the importance of bridging the gap between mental health, home life, and being present for learning. Her passion lies in supporting others while they reach their goals. Gabrielle's experience gave her the tools to help others work through challenges they may be facing. She believes that finding balance and self care are crucial to feeling your best.

Heidi Droessler, LSW
Heidi has 25 years of experience as a Social Worker, integrating mind-body techniques into her work with children, families, and adults dealing with stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, and illness. After completing her Masters Degree in Social Work at University of Illinois Chicago, she completed intensive study with YogaKids International and the Center for Mind-Body Medicine in order to complement her practice with mind-body wellness.
Participants have the opportunity to “tune in” to their bodies and express themselves authentically. Heidi will creatively partner with you, offering tools you can begin using immediately. With years of experience as a School Social Worker, she can also help parents navigate the IEP process, empowering them to advocate for their children through strong school partnerships. Heidi is a wife, mother, and lifelong learner who remains humbled by the healing power we all have within.

Brittany Holm, M.S., Special Education & Early Childhood Special Education, M.S. Applied School Leadership, PEL, & LBS1
Brittany Holm is a passionate advocate for children with unique learning and behavioral needs. With over a decade of experience as a special education teacher, coach, consultant, curriculum support specialist, and IEP monitor, she has multi-faceted, hands-on expertise in the field of Special Education. Her years of experience coaching families through the IEP process–whether it be for the family’s first time or not, have helped children and families navigate the world of Special Education.
Brittany’s services include IEP & record review, parent advocacy and consultative services, IEP meeting participation, and parent training. Brittany holds Master’s Degrees in Special Education and Early Childhood Special Education, and in Educational Administration. Additionally, Brittany holds an Autism Authorization Credential, Learning Behavior Specialist Credential, and Early Childhood Special Education Credential. Brittany believes that partnering with parents is the best way to build an effective Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and is committed to helping families and children have a voice in that process.

Wanda Cintron LSW, PEL
Wanda Cintron is fluent in Spanish. She is a licensed social worker and obtained her Bachelors in Social Work at Northeastern Illinois University. After completing her Bachelors in Social Work, she worked as a Registered Behavior Technician providing services to children with Autism.
During Wanda's time as a Behavior Technician, she was responsible for direct implementation of treatment plans related to skill acquisition and behavior reduction. Wanda received her Masters degree in School Social Work at Aurora University. As a School Social Worker, Wanda serves as an advocate for children and families. Wanda has worked with children on different levels based on their needs.
Additionally, she has collaborated with community agencies and families in building healthy connections. Wanda’s goal is to make sure children and families have access to resources that will be beneficial, not only in their community but also in society.

Jennifer Riter, LMSW, PEL,
Early Childhood Montessori Certified
Jennifer earned her Masters in Social Work through George Williams College/Aurora University in 2019. She first pursued a Bachelors in Behavioral and Environmental Biology from Beloit College and her Certification in Early Childhood Montessori Education from The Midwest Montessori Teacher Training Center. Jennifer attained both her license in School Social Work and her PEL within the state of Illinois.
While studying biology at Beloit College, Jennifer learned critical listening, observation and analytical skills that are crucial to her work with children, adolescents and families. As a Montessori teacher, she worked closely with families and staff to educate and integrate a holistic approach to learning and maturing both at school and in the home. Jennifer has completed anti-bias trainings and has volunteered as an educator for The Anti Defamation League youth programs. Jennifer has experience providing therapeutic services to seniors residing in assisted living. She worked for CASA of McHenry County, becoming a court appointed child’s advocate. Within the school setting Jennifer has worked with elementary, middle and high school students. She has extensive experience in IEP and 504 writing and reviewing and is also trained in the SSIS-SEL, FBA and BIP.
Throughout her career, she has incorporated mindfulness practices to help clients learn to self-regulate, focus, and strengthen their sense of self. Jennifer has a strong conviction that each person has an individual potential they can access and embrace to help them learn, grow and/or heal. Based on her experiences working with a wide age range of clients, she differentiates her therapeutic approach to meet their needs.

Jadyn Castro, LMSW, PEL
Jadyn is an LSW in Illinois. She graduated from Lake Forest College with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and earned her MSW at Aurora University. She has also obtained a Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker Endorsement.
Jadyn is a solution-focused therapist who believes in the power of positive thinking and resilience. With a background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she helps her clients identify and change negative thinking patterns and behaviors that may prevent them from reaching their full potential. Jadyn is passionate about providing an inclusive and safe space for clients of all ages and identities to build resilience and develop the necessary skills to cope with their unique challenges.

Jadyn has professional experience at Zacharias Sexual Abuse Center, as a therapist in private practice, and as a school social worker. During her time working with survivors of sexual abuse at Zacharias Center, she assisted survivors in seeking counseling, provided them with medical and legal resources, and educated the community about sexual abuse prevention. While at Zacharias Center, she contributed to creating an age-appropriate K - 5 sexual education curriculum that proceeded to be published. She also has school social work experience at Grayslake North High School, where she gained experience creating IEP goals, Social Developmental Studies, and FBA/BIP.
