Dr. Beth Rendon, DSW, LCSW, PEL
Dr. Beth Rendon is a seasoned social worker with over two decades of experience in improving lives through mental health advocacy and innovative care. She earned her Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2020, building on her strong academic foundation with a Master’s in Social Work and a Bachelor’s in Psychology. In addition, Dr. Beth holds a professional educator license (PEL).​
As the founder and lead clinician of Silver Lining Therapeutic Services, Dr. Beth is known for her compassionate, client-centered approach and her relentless drive to expand access to quality mental health care. Her areas of passion include mental health equity, streamlined access to services, self-care, advocacy, and prison reform.
Dr. Beth is also the visionary behind “Mental Health First”, a groundbreaking initiative designed to close the gap between schools and community-based mental health services. This early-intervention system identifies youth in need and connects them to timely, effective treatment. She believes that true progress for young people happens when schools, mental health professionals, and families collaborate as equal partners.

Christina Martorano, LCSW
Christina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois. She holds a Bachelors degree in Social Work from Illinois State University and a Masters in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago.
Christina has worked and trained in a variety of settings with children, teenagers, adults and families. Christina has spent 10 years helping students and their parents navigate the educational environment and its impact on students' mental health.
Christina has a passion to help individuals become aware of their emotions and behaviors and help them to better manage anxiety and/or depressive symptoms. Christina focuses on teaching skills to effectively deal with life and regulating emotions.
Her approach to therapy includes a safe, strengths-based, therapeutic place for children and adults to work through their feelings, problems, and life struggles. She believes in meeting the client where they are and making small, manageable changes.

Gabrielle Smith, LMSW, PEL, LBS1
Gabrielle is a Licensed Social Worker with a deep passion for helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges. She holds a Bachelor’s in Special Education from Roosevelt University and a Master’s in Social Work from Aurora University—both earned with honors. In addition to her LSW, Gabrielle also holds a Professional Educator License (PEL) and Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) certification, equipping her with unique expertise in supporting children and families facing complex behavioral and educational needs.
Her strength lies in creating a supportive, judgment-free space where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered. Whether working with children, adults, or couples, Gabrielle is committed to helping each individual create meaningful goals and reduce stress.
Her therapeutic approach is relational and collaborative. Gabrielle believes that building a strong, trusting connection is the foundation of effective therapy. By truly understanding her clients’ experiences, she works alongside them to develop personalized strategies and build resilience. Gabrielle uses a variety of evidence-based techniques to help clients gain the tools they need to cope with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, and behavioral challenges.
Gabrielle is dedicated to meeting clients where they are and supporting them in achieving growth, clarity, and emotional well-being.

Heidi Droessler, LMSW
With over 25 years of experience as a Social Worker, Heidi brings a compassionate and integrative approach to her work with children, adults, and families. She specializes in supporting individuals facing stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, and illness by combining traditional therapeutic practices with powerful mind-body techniques.
Heidi earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois Chicago. She has since pursued advanced training with YogaKids International and the Center for Mind-Body Medicine, allowing her to thoughtfully incorporate mindfulness, movement, and expressive tools into her therapeutic work.
In sessions with Heidi, clients are gently guided to “tune in” to their bodies, connect with their inner wisdom, and express themselves authentically. Her approach is creative, collaborative, and immediately applicable—providing clients with practical tools they can begin using right away to support their well-being.
Drawing on her extensive background as a School Social Worker, Heidi also offers invaluable support to parents navigating the IEP process. She empowers families to build strong partnerships with schools and become effective advocates for their children’s educational and emotional needs.
Heidi is not only a dedicated clinician but also a wife, mother, and lifelong learner. She remains continually inspired by the resilience of the human spirit and the innate healing capacity that lives within each of us.

Wanda Cintron LMSW, PEL
Wanda Cintron is a compassionate Licensed Social Worker who is fluent in both English and Spanish. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Northeastern Illinois University, where she began her journey supporting diverse communities. Following her undergraduate studies, Wanda worked as a Registered Behavior Technician, providing direct care to children with Autism. In this role, she implemented individualized treatment plans focused on skill-building and behavior management, laying a strong foundation for her client-centered approach.
Wanda went on to earn her Master’s degree in School Social Work from Aurora University. As a School Social Worker, she has advocated for children and families across a wide range of developmental and emotional needs. She works closely with students, educators, and parents to promote social-emotional growth and ensure that each child receives the support they need to thrive.
In addition to her school-based work, Wanda collaborates with community organizations to connect families with meaningful resources and strengthen support systems. She is passionate about building bridges between families and their communities to help them succeed not only at home and in school, but in society as a whole.
Wanda’s approach is warm, culturally responsive, and strengths-based. She is dedicated to creating a safe space for children and families to be heard, understood, and empowered.

Jennifer Riter, LMSW, PEL,
Early Childhood Montessori Certified
Jennifer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a well-rounded background in biology, education, and mental health. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from George Williams College at Aurora University in 2019, following a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral and Environmental Biology from Beloit College. She also holds a certification in Early Childhood Montessori Education from The Midwest Montessori Teacher Training Center and a Professional Educator License (PEL).
Jennifer’s early studies in biology fostered strong observation, analytical, and listening skills—foundational tools she brings to her clinical work. Her time as a Montessori educator deepened her understanding of holistic, child-centered development and the importance of collaboration with families. She has worked across a range of settings, including schools, assisted living communities, and advocacy organizations such as CASA of McHenry County, where she served as a court-appointed advocate, and the Anti-Defamation League, where she facilitated anti-bias youth programs.
In school settings, Jennifer has supported students from elementary through high school, with extensive experience in IEP and 504 planning, Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and the SSIS-SEL assessment tool.
Jennifer integrates mindfulness techniques into her therapeutic work to support emotional regulation, focus, and self-awareness. She believes in each client’s innate capacity for growth and healing, and tailors her approach to meet the individual needs of children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.

Jadyn Castro, LMSW, PEL
Jadyn is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in Illinois who is passionate about helping people build resilience, navigate life’s challenges, and grow into their strengths. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Lake Forest College and a Master’s in Social Work from Aurora University, along with a Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Work Endorsement.
Jadyn works with children, teens, and adults, creating a supportive, inclusive space where clients of all backgrounds and identities feel heard and valued. Her approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and solution-focused. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she helps clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns, build healthy coping skills, and move toward meaningful personal growth.
Jadyn’s professional experience spans private practice, schools, and community organizations. At the Zacharias Sexual Abuse Center, she provided trauma-informed care to survivors of sexual abuse and helped develop a K–5 sexual education curriculum now used in schools for prevention and awareness.
